I just don't get it. Another one 'star' coming out from UMNO yet again. Seems one too many times it happen and nothing being done to punish these people heavily. I think the government is waiting for riots to happen before a new law is amended to avoid all this nonsense.

You can imagine that we manage to caught a few 'star' racist in the open but what about the one who still in the hiding but is spreading these kind of propaganda. The first day we started this 1Malaysia thingy, I already thought to myself whether this new image will bring new change to our country. I was skeptical but now, i think i'm still is. So, what do we know about this bloody racist.....Nasir Safar......a new member to ignorant club. This Special Officer to the Prime Minister somewhat shows how the members of the Prime Minister department are thinking. Actually this is an actual fact from what i have observed. Many if not all are racist, i mean in the so called 'Majority-prevailing' group. The reason why we are breaking up are all is because of this people who still think they are the majority ethnic ruling this country.

So, how does this 1Malaysia concept can be a successful one when even the department who is suppose to carry out this task is the one having this racist issue? They said that this bloody Nasir's view does not represent the Prime Minister's view. Is it true? Someone must have thought this idiot(the main actor in this article) to think like that right and saying it out loud in a seminar regarding 1Malaysia surely shows that he is gaining this courage from daily mix around in the Prime Minister office then. Bottom line is, his view is actually his employer's view and basically, this is not something we can simply brush aside.

Anger is the word for me right now to hear all this, and this will only prove that i'm right from the beginning that UMNO, is a place for racist and does not represent multi-ethnics view at all. For Barisan National components who still think you are representing all ethnics, think again. You have one sour grape inside a group which declare themselves Party for All Races, how do you think others will think.

For those who has yet to read the article about this in the newspaper, below are the cuttings:

"KUALA LUMPUR: Police have launched investigations under the Sedition Act against Datuk Nasir Safar after police reports were lodged against him for allegedly making racist remarks at a 1Malaysia seminar in Malacca.

The 12 reports were lodged throughout the country and police have started investigations, Federal CID Director Comm Datuk Seri Mohd Bakri Zinin said.

Inspector-General of Police Tan Sri Musa Hassan said the case was being investigated under the Sedition Act.

He said it did not matter how many police reports were lodged nationwide, as police would conduct only one investigation.

“Since the words were uttered in Malacca, the police there would be responsible in conducting the investigations,” he said.

It is believed that several people who were present when Nasir made the remarks during a seminar in Malacca on Tuesday would be called up to assist in investigations.

Nasir, a special officer to Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak and a former assemblyman for Pulai Sebatang in Johor, caused a furore at the seminar on the 1Malaysia concept when he made derogatory remarks about Chinese and Indian immigrants coming to Malaysia.

The statements were supposedly made when he touched on issues relating to demands from the Indian and Chinese communities regarding certain government education policies.

A statement from the Prime Minister’s Office later said Nasir did not intend to offend anyone and apologised for what he had said. Nasir later tendered his resignation.

Confirming that Nasir was being investigated for sedition, Home Minister Datuk Seri Hishammuddin Tun Hussein said police would investigate all reports that were made regardless of how closely related the person was to the country’s leaders.

“The national agenda goes beyond any personal relationship including blood relationship.

“The statement might have been the result of a slip of the tongue but the effects of the remark can be really bad,” he said in Putrajaya yesterday.

Hishammuddin said Nasir had known Najib for more than 30 years but would still be investigated."

"PETALING JAYA: The citizenship of non-Malays in the country should never be questioned, Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad said.

A provision in the Federal Constitution clearly stated that the Malays were the indigenous people of the country while the non-Malays had rights to citizenship, he said.

“That should not be questioned. The Constitution provides that you cannot take away citizenships,” he told reporters after opening the Malaysian Liver Foundation building at Ara Damansara here yesterday.

The former prime minister was asked to comment on alleged racist remarks made by Datuk Nasir Safar, a special officer to the Prime Minister, during a 1Malaysia seminar in Malacca.

“It is a very bad statement to make. Even if it is true, we don’t say things like that. They are in fact, the children of the people who came here. They have not just arrived,” said Dr Mahathir.

Johor Umno information chief Datuk Samsol Bahari Jamali said Nasir’s remarks did not reflect the views of Umno in any way.

He said Johor Umno always looked at ways to get everyone to work together and not hurt anyone’s feelings.

“I am shocked to hear it. He never struck me as a racist,” he said when contacted.

MIC vice-president Datuk Dr S. Subra maniam said the immediate action taken by Najib indicated his seriousness and commitment in ensuring the success of the 1Malaysia policy.

“This should act as a deterent to ensure that similar statements are not repeated by any quarters,” he said in a statement.

Penang Gerakan chairman Datuk Dr Teng Hock Nan said the alleged racist remarks had aggravated the already high political tension in the country

Meanwhile, non-governmental organisation Perkasa came to Nasir’s defence.

Its president Datuk Ibrahim Ali said the remarks would have been harsher had it come from him (Ibrahim).

He said he understood why Nasir had made that statement.

Kelab Belia Graduan 1Malaysia also came to Nasir’s defence, saying his remarks were misunderstood and taken out of context.

Its deputy president Najieb Mokhtar said Nasir never intended to offend anyone.

“Only a small number of those present at the function took offence and left the hall,” he said, adding that he was also at the same seminar."
