10 subjects limits for SPM exam

People's mind has no end to the knowledge of what we want to learn. Basically the sky is only the limit and these words are true but only to those who understand it persist to make a sense out of it. Seems some of these words of wisdom do not go into some people's understanding especially the one handling our country's education. This is quite sad to know but nonetheless, what can we do about it.

Recently, if you all might have heard, our local government is planning to limit the subjects taken in the SPM exam, the exam equivalent to the British GCSE. Although its still subject to change but raising this topic was not suppose to happen at all in the first place. With all these students, brilliant students, should i say, there should not be a limit to whether a student might be a burden taking in more subjects then they should have. Excuses given by the government are not really concrete enough to give away this kind of policy. Reason given are as below:

1) "Records show that some 90% of students sitting for the SPM take 10 or fewer subjects. We want to streamline this as this would also be an easier way to determine the awarding of scholarships"

2) "Teachers would also be able to give more focus if students were only allowed to take up to 10 subjects"

3) "Parents would not have to rush their children for tuition classes if they took too many subjects."

4) "Teachers to better equip themselves (as they would not be burdened teaching other subjects)"

Math and Science in English

Math and Science in English. This is actually not a new topic to discuss about but somehow, recently, this bunch of, so called 'cendekiawan' (intellectual of Malaysia), voice out the issue of learning this subject in English. They said, it should be done in Malay language as in the past as putting this subject in English cause a lot of people to suffer, not only the student but even the teachers. They even submit a police report against the Minister of Education on this matter.

For me, this issue should be discussed again as it involve a lot of parties and a lot of people's view. This topic is debatable and furthermore, we can say that only the one who is not gaining any benefits from this teaching are the only one arguing.
I still remember the time when i was learning everything in Malay back in my school days and i can say, it was interesting as i understand every little bit of the explanation but when i move into University life, some of the teachings/subjects become English. I do have complains about it but at the end, i know the importance of teaching these subjects in English. So, i carry on without much complain and i would say my English improved a lot but not the an extend where my grammer as well my vocab is categorized as perfect. Although i can say the transition from Bahasa Melayu teaching to English teaching is difficult, yet, its not impossible and this of course has to be done. The more we stick to our mother toungue on certain subjects, the more we will be left behind. World is progressing under one rule and one law, and language barrier is certainly no exception. Since most of the books to study Math and Science are in English, might as well we teach those subjects in English then rather then we need to translate it each time we do some reading which involve international books.

Second Penang Bridge

There is an article today saying that this MP from Kinabatangan, Bung Mokhtar Radin, ask the second Penang bridge to be scrapped so that rural development plan can take effect with the money saved. One thing for sure, this guy is talking crap. Maybe i missed out some point..... is Kinabatangan from Penang? Duhhhhhhhh........of course NO.

People living in Penang would definately know how important this second bridge is besides channeling more money to the industry economy of Malaysia, it also save people lives, from what i see at least. Even with the sole Penang bridge now, it would not contain the heavy load of traffic that its facing everyday. More then 100,000 vehicles travelling across it everyday and if you are one of them, then i would bet most of your guys know the meaning of frustration. Traffic jam and accidents, are everyday part of life and this Kinabatangan guy should know better then saying something he does not know at all. Its not fair, at least to the Penangites. There are a lot more excuse why this second bridge should be build but then again, i would not go detail about it as this post is not about why the bridge should not be built, but instead, asking this, 'Batang' guy to shut his mouth.

Although i never argue that the price of the bridge is expensive, but i believe, even in the previous administration, they could not avoid the surge of the price as there are many factors to be considered. Somehow, after the opposition took over the administration from BN, they(BN) has been harassing on this topic starting from Penang BN. This topic should not arise at all as this bridge was actually propose by you guys and now, after losing the throne, seems that the only thing they want is revenge. For this Ah Bung (Kinabatangan MP), to ask the question about the rationale for spending RM4.3bil on the bridge?.......Answer is simple....... you come and live in Butterworth (or anywhere in mainland for all i care) and work on Penang Island then you would know why this bridge is a must. Its overdue actually.

So, before you get more criticism on this matter, if you want more money for the rural, look the other way because, i think you know and I know well, there are a lot of mega projects in another state that can be reviewed. I bet he won't because then, he would need to kill his own 'geng', after all, they are all from Barisan National.

A word of advice for this Ah Bung, think before you talk.

Zambry Begging Perakians To Accept Him

"Mentri Besar Datuk Dr Zambry Abd Kadir has appealed to the people to accept the Sultan of Perak’s decision to appoint him to rule the state.
Dr Zambry said he was aware that people were wondering whether he was truly the MB."

This statement above was taken from the The Star newspaper a couple days back. This is an obvious fact that even him, himself notice that he is not accepted as the Leader of Perak right now. I was shock that all these episodes and dramas happen so fast that one day the state still in Pakatan hand and the next day, it was in Barisan National's hand. This is an absolute disgrace. We, as rakyat has decided who was suppose to be the government in the election not even a year back and now, our right has been stolen from us.

I believe the Sultan should have done better on this but judging from the intense battle that has happen lately, he, the Sultan was definately under pressure to decide who should represent his rakyat. I guess, to calm things down, the Sultan should go back to the rakyat to decide on this. Seems that now the BN take this into their advantage by saying that whoever oppose this new Exco is actually showing disrespect to the Sultan.........and seems they are taking this excuse a little bit too far..........everything also say that we who oppose this exco is disrespectful to the Sultan..........full of crab......

Bottom line is, since we as rakyat who elected the representatives, please go back to the rakyat to do the judgement and please don't proclaim you, the BN, are our representatives until you are proven as one in a new by-election.........

MACC in Politics?

"DAP chairman Karpal Singh is questioning the “unholy haste” behind the decision of the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) in announcing that it had good and strong evidence against Selangor Mentri Besar Tan Sri Khalid Ibrahim for misusing his powers.

“As MP (Bukit Gelugor), I demand from MACC chief commissioner Datuk Seri Ahmad Said Hamdan as to the basis on which he made this very serious statement publicly.

“I wonder what his motive was in publicly maligning the Mentri Besar,” said Karpal Singh on Saturday.

He said it was a very serious matter for Ahmad Said to publicly announce, before a decision was made to prosecute, that the MACC had good and strong evidence to show that Khalid misused his powers over the maintenance of his personal car and the distribution of 46 cows for slaughter in his Bandar Tun Razak parliamentary constituency.

Karpal Singh said he would raise the matter in Parliament, which is in the process of sitting, if he did not get a proper reply.

He said Ahmad Said was “quite incompetent” in saying the commission would refer the case to the Attorney-General’s chambers although it was vested with powers to prosecute.

“He does not even know the provisions of Section 58 of the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission Act 2009, which states that a prosecution for an offence under the Act shall not be instituted except by or with the consent of the Public Prosecutor.

“The MACC is given wide powers of investigation but no power to prosecute,” he said.

Karpal Singh also said Selangor opposition leader Datuk Seri Dr Mohd Khir Toyo should not publicly say that in the event Khalid was charged, he should resign until such time the case was concluded.

“The question of resigning his post does not arise because the law is very clear. A person is presumed innocent until proven guilty, that’s elementary,” said Karpal Singh."

Since when is this guy, Ahmad Said Hamdan, start to publicize his 'work'? Want to get free overnight fame is it? If you want to charge, please charge. Don't come out with this kind of remark because you as an independent agency, you should know more then choosing a side in this political arena.

Seems that this guy took office almost 2 years ago and only now he wants to make himself known to Malaysia. Politic motivated?..........

Elizabeth Wong Naked Pictures

It has been a while since i took a swipe on our political arena and this time, somehow or rather, this fate of Elizabeth Wong took a wrong turn at the wrong time. While so many people are cross firing each other to gain political advantage, she somehow, end up in the wrong place at the shooting board.

For me, i would say she has been taken advantage of and not from her dignity, based on the photo, but political gain by others. How could a person's private life be exposed out by a 'criminal' and yet, the victim herself being blame and accused for it. Seems that taking a swipe at the victim at this moment is like an act to encourage this kind of crime to happen more. Where is the possible justice in all this and bear in mind, i haven't talk about politics just yet. We are talking about human right here and some politicians even said that, once you are a 'Wakil Rakyat' (assemblywoman), there should not be any privacy for you. All this craps makes me want to puke. People who say this, or should i say, even think about this should be drop from any position representing people. How can they think that once you are representing people, you don't have private life anymore and i don't think any assemblyman need to sign papers indicating their personal life can be poured out in the open for public viewing. People's private life means people's private life and there is no law saying otherwise. Whoever go across the line on this matter should be punished without any doubt.

Politicians who took advantage on this should be re-elect again by the people because once you come out saying no good about Elizabeth Wong, who is the victim if you still don't get it, its like discrediting yourself and i bet, people who voted you last time should be able to 'open eyes wide wide' on who you really are. For me at least, i would think he/she should not be representing me anymore as i deem him/her not fit just simply by thinking that assemblyman don't have any privacy even at the comfort of their own home. This is baseless and brainless to say the least.

I was damn surprise when this Toyol.......eh i mean Khir Toyo...... ask her to resign instead of protecting her base on human rights. Well, he said “She is a single person. How can she allow a man into her room when they are not married?”......Last time i check, Non-Bumi is not subjected to this law right? or am I wrong? If they said this Malay boyfriend of hers is subjected to Islamic law, who should not be doing this at all in the first place, then go after that bloody bloke then. Let’s admit and acknowledge that for a wide section of the public, the vast majority of us as normal human beings, there are boyfriends and girlfriends and intimate moments of great privacy.If a partner violates that privacy for any reason, the other party is not to blame, the blame lies with the person who broke that trust. Somehow, this issue has been turn into a gain for some politicians and this Toyo seems the first one to take up the chance but what he did not notice is, he took the wrong swipe on the wrong topic. Let say , if a person put a hidden camera inside his house bathroom and manage to take pictures of him urinating and go to public with these pictures saying "He purposely show it to me", should he resign then? Neh.......i don't think so.....he will start cursing and asking police to nab the culprit as his, so called, privacy has been invaded..........

For Elizabeth Wong, i have only this comment to you....... DON'T RESIGN. People voted you of your personalities and qualities and not based on this privacy things of yours. The TV news that showed interviewed resident at your place demanding you to step down for this disgraced are actually actors and if you notice, they only showed this comment and none of them are on your side. Don't you think this is all act of opposition.......... and yes....i said OPPOSITION (Barisan National - BN) to bring you down (This is the answer to BN's question on "Why accuse BN on this matter?"). Bear in mind that i'm not accusing BN of circulating the pictures of Elizabeth Wong but then again, i'm not saying they are not either but don't put this thing on your(BN) advantage either as you are going against human rights and its our rights as well. If you (BN) can't protect this, how do you expect us to expect you to protect us? Use brain.......use brain. For Elizabeth Wong, i would say, WE back you up on this and resigning should not be an option as you still have our confident and we still need you to carry on with your job which we had dedicated to you. Take this as a challenge in life. The more insecure you show to public on this matter, the more attacks will be directed to you and if you lose this battle, not only it shows BN win this battle but also, it shows that human rights does not exist anymore.

Another Racist Remark by UMNO?

I really damn piss of these few days reading more and more article concerning this UMNO people making racist related remarks. First the bloody fat guy from Bukit Bendera who accuse Chinese as immigrant in this country, and recently from the Minister in the Prime Minister's Department about the puttin Quran in all hotel rooms and not this new one from Malacca Chief Minister about UMNO should take over the goverment instead of Barisan Nasional.

Fuh.......'wa really cannot tahan liao' (i cannot stand with all this anymore). okokok......many of my friends,........and when i say many.....i mean many, said that we are living in a country that is full of bias and disharmony as the Muslim is getting everything but the non-Muslim has been left helpless in their wake. I try not to believe in this statement and really, till now i still feel so coz we cannot deny that the Government has done a lot in term of helping the non-Muslim to stay standing all the way......but that is government....the Barisan National who is consist by different component parties representing different races....... if not because of that, we, the non-Muslim long time dead already......and now, this bloody bloke who suppose to be the Chief Minister of Melacca, Mohd Ali Rustam, who said that, to have a better control on all policies related to the country and state, the UMNO should have full control of the Goverment instead of Barisan Nasional.
Hey, if not because of the component party involved, UMNO don't have a single chance to hold the Government at all, you know. Stamp that into your mind, b@#$%^.

Hey hey.......i'm happy now after that out burst.kekekeke......but to tell you the truth, its becoming a big issue that most of the UMNO people showing their racist behaviour out in the public now. Its a worrying trend i can say. I know there are a lot of racist among us, not to mention from the non-Muslim community itself but please keep it to your ownself. For me, i will always respect everyone, even the Muslim and non-Muslim alike because we are still the same person, who has the same color of blood although not the same skin color..... but for those who show out their white color blood, please do it else where as we here, the people of Malaysia, want to live in harmony and not disharmony.

So, Prime Minster, our leader, our representative, please take some action against all these bloody bloke that speak their racist mind out in the open with no regards to the non-Muslim's people feeling at all....... please make them stop all this bullshit because if they want a war, we can give them, anytime, a war.
